Park Lane groundworks Ltd is a privately owned Company incorporated on the 21st May 1991 (Registration Number 2613164) and is owned by Peter Fox, the Managing Director and Maureen Fox the Company Secretary.

The Company is engaged in general groundworks and minor Civil Engineering works in the area of East Anglia mainly within a 50 mile radius of Cambridge.
Our Company aim is to create a good working relationship in partnership with a preferred list of clients and to provide them with a high standard of service at fair rates.
Our preferred method of working is to provide a total package of labour, plant and materials including if costed setting out and engineering.
We will pre-tender with our clients and can quote for work on any basis including:-
- Take off from drawings and specification
- pricing a schedule of rates
- pricing a bill of quantities
- providing lump sum figures
- negotiating packages of any of the above
All of our work can, if required, be subject to remeasurement and we are familiar with the usual standard methods measurement (groundworks and civil) and various forms of contract.
We are a progressive Company and to this end continually strive to keep abreast of legislation and developments that can affect us. The Directors are aware of their responsibilities under HSE and CDM and operate a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
Most of the management of our contracts is carried out at site level. It is our practice to nominate a working supervisor for each contract to liase with the clients staff for day to day planning, materials ordering and controlling our work force. The Directors retain responsibility for enquiries, purchase orders, supply of plant and labour and all other management matters.
Office management systems are computer based and include office 2000, sage payroll, job costing and accounts and Hexagon electronic banking (BACS).
Whenever possible we use our own plant but maintain wide facilities to hire in additional plant as required.
Our work force are generally provided with van transport and we supply our own tools and equipment. Currently we employ 20 groundworkers on a PAYE, CIS4 or CIS6 basis.
Our Company undertakes certification required under current regulations on an ongoing basis.
We are holders of a current CIS6 tax exemption certificate and are a registered member of the Federation Of Building Specialist Contractors (number 60757)
